This is a reflection on all the hype around “social media,” and “social networking,” as the fact is that brands are racking their brains along with their digital agencies to turn their websites into “social sites” that allow them to create an environment for the humans behind their databases to connect with the brand, or each other, and develop relationships or content, without the need for site administrators to mediate these connections or content contributions.

I was personally at a conference by Bob Garfield, about 3 years ago, and I was struck by a phrase he said, which at the time seemed somewhat exaggerated, it was something like a prediction about how digital was going to affect the "status." quo” of media content distribution, said: “In a few years the Radio and TV antennas will be on the ground and the Canadian trees will be standing.”

It is very important to take the health of our websites seriously, by this I mean to carry out periodic reviews to avoid being victims of some type of attack that includes scripts on our pages, causing search engines to label us as a suspicious site, which would be very bad for positioning and therefore traffic growth.

Most companies, I hope, understand that just as you need to have desks, computers, telephones, insurance policies, you need to have a website.

A study analyzed the impact achieved on the Internet by 113 organizations: 50 of them are those with the highest market capitalization on the Colombian Stock Exchange. The Online Presence Barometer, prepared by the Llorente and Cuenca Observatory, revealed that the use of communication channels offered by the Internet is not exploited by the most important companies in Colombia.

The term Web 3.0 does not have a precise meaning although several experts try to give definitions - which do not completely fit together - about it, but ultimately the term is linked to the Semantic Web. The semantic aspect of version 3.0 of the Web is an extension of the World Wide Web where the language can be interpreted more easily by software agents, in this way, it will be possible to find, share and integrate the information that circulates from a faster way.

Drupal, as a content management system (CMS) with wide global coverage, has evolved its platform towards version 7 and brings with it the possibility of generating content and proposals directly related to Web 3.0. The user community has contributed to updating and improving the interaction and usability of Drupal.

This is great news for the Drupal community, Google has accepted 20 Drupal projects for the 2011 Google Summer of Code, representing an investment of $110,000 US by Google for these projects.

In version 3 of the CCK ( Content Construction Kit ) module that is currently under development, they have included a module called Content Multigroup that basically allows us to make a group of fields that can be added dynamically by the user.
